The stock market has lost its initial gains. The Sensex was trading down by 0.33% or 258.51 points at 77,432.44, while the Nifty was trading down by 0.28% or 65.85 points at 23,493.20. In the stock market, Hindustan Unilever’s shares were trading by 1.49%. Shares of ITC, IndusInd Bank, and Titan were also trading down by more than 1%. Today, an uptrend was observed in the stock market. After the market opened, the Sensex was trading up by 106 points at 77,796, while the Nifty was trading up by 31.75 points at 23,590.80. Notably, on Thursday, the Nifty opened at 23,542.15 and Sensex at 77,636.94 points. In the initial trading session, 14 companies on the Sensex were trading in the green. This morning, HCL Tech shares were the highest gainers on the Sensex, trading up by 1.56%. NTPC, HDFC Bank, and Reliance shares also managed to gain. On the other hand, shares of UltraTech Cement, Power Grid and Mahindra & Mahindra fell by more than 1%. The morning on the NSE, shares of 33 companies hit the upper circuit, while shares of 49 companies hit the lower circuit. Among the companies with an upper circuit is Suzlon Energy. The BSE Sensex has dropped by 1,805.2 points or 2.27% in two days. On Wednesday, it fell by 984.23 points or 1.25%, closing at 77,690.95 points. The market cap of companies listed on the BSE declined by ₹1,307,898.47 crore over two days, reaching ₹429,46,189.52 crore.
