Rajeev Chandrasekhar, the union minister, said India would contribute an important role in the global electronics supply chain.
“PM Modi has a clear vision that India will manufacture 300 billion dollars’ worth of electronic goods by 2026,” he said further.
In the coming years, mobile phones will rank among India’s top 10 export categories. We are planning to expand the electronic ecosystem, said, Mr. Chandrasekhar on Saturday.
The Minister announced that “a semiconductor ecosystem, including manufacturing, designing, fabrication, and packaging, will be established in India very soon”.
India is growing as a global innovation hub while we are establishing a framework of modern policies. These policies help successful startups in India. We will soon implement the Digital India Act, he added.
Also, Piyush Goyal, the Commerce and Industry Minister, said that India’s goods and services may rise to 750 billion dollars in the fiscal year. Earlier, we had a record worth 650 billion dollars in goods and services exports, but this time we have a clear vision to achieve an even bigger record, he added.
He further said, Export services are doing well and are supposed to gain at least 20% growth in this sector.
